Pass and you’re clear for a good 4 or more hours depending on when RNG decides to check again. Things like repeatedly creating games in short periods, opening rifts, and greater rifts. Given D3’s repetitious nature, there are a good number of trigger points that can be used to set off the checks, otherwise. Unfortunately, there are older hurdles that some players rail against like highly variable encrypted captchas because every couple hours or so they might have to pause for 30s to do what’s requested. Shifting the number to 2 or 4 hours doesn’t change that, either.
Even if they’re still gaining 1% EXP after the initial hour, that’s still an eventual 23% more they’d be getting over everyone else. Like others have said, punishing players just to slightly inconvenience botters isn’t really the solution. If you don’t get it than no matter what idea anyone comes up it will always be bad or punishing legit players and if you have a better idea than PLEASE SHARE it other than bashing others for trying to fix the current state of game.
Serioulsy WHO RUNS BOUNTIES OR RIFTS, GRIFT for more than 8h?! I mean 8h of straight bounty farming or 8h WITHOUT a single break of 2-3 minutes rifts or greater rifts, clearly not a normal person. Same thing with bounties, if you run bounties for more than 8h a day 10-15 minutes per full Act 1-5 runs, you get the same error or BAN. If a bot runs each rift for 2m-3m for more than 8h-12h straight without any breaks a day the in game written algorithm would just prevent you from creating any game at all by giving you an error of some kind when trying to create a game for the rest of the day or BAN you for 7 days each time. The only way to check if someone is botting would be if the game itself had an encoded algorithm that monitors the amount of time spent on completing rifts, greater rifts or bounites and the amount of experience gained per day. No matter what is suggested it will ALWAYS be BAD for you.
